Patterns

Patterns

Last week we started a new Inquiry. The Central Idea is 'Exploring patterns helps us to understand the world we live in'.  On Wednesday morning we discussed the word 'pattern'  and tried to explain what patterns are.  We discovered that there are two types of patterns - nature patterns and man made patterns.  Mrs Mason our Science teacher brought in a basket with many patterns in it many of them were nature patterns.  Mrs Mason took us out on a pattern walk around the school.  In the playground we found a mixture of man made and nature patterns.

Mothering Sunday

This afternoon we enjoyed our Mothering Sunday at the Cathedral. A special thank you to Ria, Hannah and Grace for helping to collect up the buttonhole flowers. You did a fabulous job. Here are some lovely stories about 'Our Mummies' written by the 1FR girls.

Grace Bousimon

I love Mum kissing me. It makes me happy. She loves to cook and shop.

Cynthia Liu

My Mama kisses and  cuddles me. She has long black hair like me!

Cynthia and Grace haven't had the opportunity to publish their stories yet. Their stories are at drafting stage. The other groups have please see their stories below.
