Caterpillars!

Last week it was all about the caterpillars! Our new class members are called Glitter, Lily and Shimmery. The girls came up with several names and voted in their table groups to name their chosen caterpillar. We all kept a close eye on our caterpillars and while we wrote our stories One of the caterpillars was very speedy and turned from a J shape into a chrysalis. This caused great excitement. The girls have really shown a very keen interest and there are constant news reports and updates.

Here is a caterpillar ready to turn into a chrysalis.

This photo has Shimmery, Glitter and Lily on it!

This is their new butterfly house so that we can release them outside when they turn into butterflies!

Our Wonderings
"What do they eat while they're in there?"
"Is it happy in there?"
"What colour will it come out?"
"Is it warm to touch it?"
"Does the butterfly feel squished?"
"How long will the butterfly take to come out?"
