A Great Big THANK YOU

Christmas Hamper - Anglican Trust for Women and Children

The Giving Focus for Term 4 is to donate a Christmas Hamper to support the families from the Anglican Trust for Women and Children who otherwise would not receive many gifts on Christmas Day.
A big thank you to all the 1FR families who have been very generous this year. We gave two beautifully wrapped hampers full of exciting gifts and we know that these families will now have a happy time when they unwrap our thoughtful gifts. Many thanks to Rebecca for organising and wrapping our fabulous hampers.

Amongst all of us you may be able to spot 4 hampers from 1FR and 1BU. We loved carrying and wheeling up our hampers to Rev Moss's office. It was lovely to have the experience of 'giving' at Christmas time.

1FR/1BU Christmas Drinks

A big thank you to all of you who came and enjoyed our Year 1 Christmas drinks (and magnificent feast!) it was fantastic to catch up with you in an informal setting. Thank you so much to Rebecca and Peter for offering your wonderful home and hospitality. Many thanks for all the fabulous food and BBQ skills! I would particularly like to thank everyone for my beautiful flowers and generous pressy card. It is very much appreciated! Thanks also to Victoria Coleman 1BU for co hosting.

How we Express Ourselves

Diwali

How we Express Ourselves

Central Idea: People recognise important events through celebrations and traditions.

This term we are looking at celebrations and have been inquiring about Spring, Diwali and Weddings. Here are some of our photos from our Diwali day.

Thank you so much for the fabulous news items the girls are presenting. We saw some gorgeous wedding photos last week! This week it is anything fireworks - there are several different festivals and celebrations that use fireworks as part of their festivities.

Living things have needs in order to grow and stay healthy

At the end of term 3 where we were inquiring into the needs of living things under the ocean we made our own dioramas. We had to choose a fish and find out what needs it has to be healthy and grow. Have a look at our great work!
